Tip of the Month: Copying the Colors in Compare Versions
Recently someone e-mailed this question:
I would like to copy into my Word document the "Compare Parallel Bible Versions" WITH the pink and blue highlighted words showing in my document.
Here is a solution:
1. Generate a Compare Parallel Versions report
2. Choose File | Export
3. Set the Save as type: to HTML File
4. Type a File name
5. Select a location in the Save in: drop down list
6. Click Save
7. Open Word
8. Choose File | Open
9. Locate the exported file in the Look in: drop down list
10. Select the name of the file
11. Click Open
The document opens complete with the colors. You can now modify the contents and save the document as a Word document.
Book of the Month: A Savior Worth Having
Years ago as a young preacher, I heard my first sermon delivered by E.V. Hill. When God Was at His Best was preached with passion and persuasion. I learned a couple of valuable lessons that day that I still try to apply in my preaching: be unapologetically passionate and leave the people wanting more
. Logos recently released A Savior Worth Having which is a collection of twelve E.V. Hill sermons about our glorious Savior.
I encourage you to purchase this book and just read a sermon a day for the next two weeks
. Youll be glad you did. As always, dont forget in the midst of all the searching power of your software, you can still simply open a book from your library and read it. In addition, remember to set a bookmark where you leave off so you can begin here tomorrow.

Mac Matters: Scrolling Through Resources with Arrow Keys
Logos just announced in a recent blog the 1.2.2 version of Logos for Mac. If youre a Mac user be sure to read the blog for information about downloading this update.
http://blog.logos.com/
One of my favorite Logos features is the ability to scroll through parallel resources with the left and right arrow keys on the keyboard.
Try this:
Open a Bible to a verse like John 3.16. Now press the right arrow key to jump to your previous Bible (in alphabetical order) or the right arrow key to go the next Bible.
Now open a commentary to a verse like Matthew 6.33. Use the same arrow keys to scroll through the rest of your commentaries.
Now open a Bible dictionary to an article like Corinth. Using the same arrow keys you can scroll through all of your e-books that have an article about Corinth.

New Seminar: I-Beam of Message Building Seminar
I (Morris) want to personally invite you to a new seminar were now presenting, the I-Beam of Message Building. Several months ago I released the I-Beam manual. Numerous readers have asked that we develop it into a seminar, so we have.
This seminar picks up where our Bible study leaves off. Weve carefully researched a passage with Logos Bible Software, so how do we now organize that information into a lesson or sermon that is both biblical and applicable for our listeners? The I-Beam answers that question.
Using the analog of a construction I-Beam, I walk you through six principles to insure that your message is both Faithful to the Text and Functional for Today.
Both seasoned and young preachers and teachers alike have responded enthusiastically to this seminar. One man who has preached for decades said I wish I had been exposed to this thirty years ago.
Rather than go into details here, please visit our website for more information. Please keep in mind that this seminar is NOT software training, but message building training.
I certainly hope you can join us in Murfreesboro. As always, please e-mail or call with questions.
