♦ Sermon File Addin Questions

This past month I’ve received several e-mails containing questions about the NEW Sermon File Addin from Logos. So allow me to answer them here:

♦ Once the sermon book and illustration book are compiled where are they saved so I can execute a backup or transfer them to another computer?

Here are the paths for the two books. You can backup these files or copy them to a new computer placing them in the same location:

C:Documents and Settings|User Name|My Documents|Libronix Resources| LogosUsersermons
C:Documents and Settings|User Name|My Documents|Libronix Resources| LogosUserillustrations

♦ Where are the Sermon File user created documents saved?

Remember, for each sermon or illustration you add to your books, you have to create a Sermon File document for it. All of these files are saved in:

C:Documents and Settings|User Name|My Documents|Libronix DLS|SermonFile

♦ How do I delete a sermon or illustration from my newly compiled books?

Since each sermon or illustration is contained in a separate Sermon File document, simply delete the specific file from the SermonFile folder:

Right click on the Start menu
Select Explore
Click the plus sign ( + ) next to My Documents
Click the plus sign ( + ) next to Libronix DLS inside My Documents
Click the SermonFile folder inside Libronix DLS to reveal the Sermon File documents on the right hand side of the screen
Right click on the specific file to delete
Select Delete from the right menu
Click Yes

♦ New Window Questions

Here’s a list of other questions regarding new windows that I've been asked recently:

♦ How do I open another copy of a resource or report that I already have open?

Make sure the resource or report you want another copy of is the active window. Now choose Window | New Window. You can also press the fast keystroke shortcut of Ctrl + Shift + N.

♦ I come to a red resource link in a book. I know if I click it the book jumps to that location. Is there a way to stay at my current position and have another copy of the book jump to the linked location?

YES! All you do is hold down the Shift key as you click the red resource link. Another copy of the book looks up the link.
