| ♦ Sermon File Addin Questions
Several months ago Logos released the Sermon File Addin which allows you to create two new Libronix books: one for your sermons (lessons) and the other for illustrations.
I addressed several issues related to this addin in previous newsletters which you can read in our etc archive.
I've recently received a few more questions I'd like to answer:
♦ After compiling the books I noticed a mistake in the text.
How do I fix any typos?
Keep in mind that all of your sermons and illustrations are saved in individual files that you can access at File | Open | Sermon File.
From this location open the file containing the mistake(s).
Make the necessary changes in the Sermon Text or Illustration Text box.
Click the Compile icon to rebuild your two new books.
Simply repeat this process every time you find a mistake.
♦ I have a lot of previously saved Word documents I want in the Sermon File Addin.
Do I have to do each one individually?
The answer is No.
If you have previously saved Word docs, Text files or HTML files you can import them into Libronix:
- Choose File | Import Sermons
- Locate the folder containing your files in the Look in box
- Click on the first file you want to Import
- Hold down the Ctrl key as you click on the other files you wish to Import
- After you've selected the desired files click Open
- Click Edit Details next to each file to individually assign Details to each file
- Close the sermon file
- Repeat the above two steps for each file
- After you assign Details to all of the imported files click Compile on the Sermon File Import window
♦ What is the Tags box in the Details section on the Sermon File document?
The Tags box is another "topics" field the developers placed there for you to use as you desire.
For example, you may want to use Tags to index your lessons according to how long they are ( hour, 30 minutes, etc.) or desired audience (men, women, youth, etc.).
Once you compile and open the books click the Table of Contents icon on your sermon book's toolbar.
Click the + sign next to Index to view your Tags.
