I recently received an e-mail with this question:

Is it possible to print the pericope set for a particular bible? I am planning to start a series of sermons on the books of the bible and the pericope sets would be a good way to plan out the series for each book.

The answer is yes and here’s how to do it:

  • Choose Tools | Bible Comparison | Compare Pericopes
  • Click the Properties icon
  • Select your desired Pericope Set
  • Click OK
  • Type a passage like Genesis in the box
  • Click the green and white Go (arrow) icon to generate the report
  • Press Ctrl + A to Select All of the text in the report
  • Press Ctrl + C to Copy the text to the clipboard
  • Go to your word processor and press Ctrl + V to Paste the text
  • Now you can format and print the document as you like!
♦ Bible Passages without Chapter/Verse Text

I was recently speaking with a pastor who was telling me about the discipleship course in his church. One of the requirements in the class is for students to read through one of the gospels at on sitting. In other words read Matthew, Mark, Luke or John from start to finish without stopping as we would read a novel.

As he said this, I thought it would be great to read the book without chapter and verse divisions which sometimes get in the way of the flow of the book. Libronix can easily produce any Bible passage (or book) without the chapter and verse references. Here’s one way to do that:

  • Click the Copy Bible Verses (black Bible) icon in the System Tray in the lower right hand corner of the screen
  • Click Customize to create a new Style
  • Click New
  • Name the Style something like Bible without Chapter and Verse Text
  • Leave all of the boxes unchecked and empty
  • Select Copy Bible Text Only
  • From the Paragraph Layout drop down list select Use Paragraphs from the Bible
  • Click OK
  • Click Close
  • Type a reference in the Passage box like Mark
  • Select a Version
  • Select your Target like Microsoft Word
  • Select your newly created Style from the drop down list
  • Click Copy and Paste
  • Go to your Word document to see and print the book of Mark without chapter and verse text!
♦ Sermon Files of Rob Morgan Volume II


The newly created Sermon Files of Rob Morgan Volume I has been such a hit, we have decided to go ahead and produce Volume II. Rob Morgan is my (Morris) mentor and friend and most importantly one of the best expositors and sermon illustrators you will ever hear.

I have personally taken 100 of Rob’s sermon manuscripts and placed each one in a Sermon File document. I have then tagged each one according to the relevant Topics and References. When you load these files and then click Compile on one of your Sermon File documents these 100 sermons will be added to your personal sermon book.

Volume II contains sermons covering such subjects as:

  • Red Sea Rules
  • Expositions from Revelation
  • Secrets of Successful People
  • Glimpses of Jesus in Exodus
  • And more

These files are rich in Biblical content, sermon illustrations and practical applications. If you have the Sermon File Addin (sold separately from Logos) these files, as well as the 100 from Volume I, will integrate seamlessly into your personal sermon book.
