Logos recently released The John Piper Sermon Manuscript Library. Someone e-mailed me asking how to get these sermons to show up in the Passage Guide. Here’s what you need to do:

Create a Collection

• Choose Tools | Define Collections
• Click New
• Name the Collection
• Type Piper in the Find box
• Click,one at a time, the three volumes of Sermons from John Piper
• Click Add
• Click OK
• Click Close

Add the Collection to the Passage Guide

• Open the Passage Guide
• Click Properties on the Passage Guide
• Click the box next to the Collections section
• Click the box next to your Piper’s Sermons Collection
• Click OK

Now when you generate a Passage Guide John Piper’s sermons for your passage will be listed in the report!

Book of the Month

As noted above Logos just released a massive library of John Piper sermons. I heartily recommended this set to you. John’s Christ centered preaching seeks the glory of God above all else. If you create the collection as explained above you can search his sermons not only with the Passage Guide but also with the Reference Browser and Basic Search.

Here’s another little feature you’ll find helpful:

• After installing the sermon library click the small black arrow next to the Home icon on the toolbar
• Choose Sermons from John Piper from the list of Home pages
• When his Home Page opens click the Browse tab

Now you can browse his sermons by Series, Topic, Occasion, or Scripture!
