A Customer's Encouraging Words

I received a very encouraging e-mail from a customer who had just been to Camp Logos in Philadelphia. This gentleman also gave permission to share this e-mail. Words like these are very meaningful to the team at MP Seminars:

Moe,

Thank you for an absolutely wonderful two days! I was truly blessed and had fun studying God's Word this am with the new knowledge of Logos 4. But this tool and your amazing teaching is more than a software and more than a workshop, it makes an amazing difference in the body of Christ.

This past Sunday, 33 new persons knelt down at the altar to accept Christ and joined our church! They attended 14 weeks of class I taught using Logos. The bottom line of Logos is this: people come to know our Savior because of Biblical preaching and teaching. In addition, I have taught two Bible Studies this past year on Philippians (on Tuesday's am and pm). 50 people eagerly come to the class because of the amazing preparation Logos blesses me. I took one year to cover the book of Philippians and the people loved it!

Logos makes an amazing difference and now after this seminar, how much better will I be able to do? What greater rewards does God in Jesus Christ have in store as I am disciplined and obedient in studying God's Word through using Logos? This tool is phenomenal! I thank the amazing and wonderful people of Bellingham for designing this. I have been using this for 6 years and it keeps getting better!

I thank you so much for making the class fun, engaging, practical, and holy! You are a gifted teacher. Thank you for your newsletter. I eagerly read it when it arrives and follow the suggestions! 28 years of ministry and I am having so much fun because I have the best of resources available through Logos.

Thank you for your ministry.

In Christ's service,

Rev. Dr. Lawrence H. Potts

Upcoming Weekend Camp Logos Seminars

The new Camp Logos seminar hasCamp Logos by MP Seminars been great since the release of Logos Bible Software 4. It has been great to see the number of people that want to make an investment into their Bible study by coming to Camp. And while it is a monetary investment, it's also an investment of time.

Everyone's situation is different, but there are many people who can't come to Camp because it involves two weekdays. However, we have some "Weekend" Camp Logos seminars that are coming up. These seminars go from 5-9 p.m. on Friday nights and 8:30-4:30 on Saturdays. The following are upcoming "Weekend" Camp Logos locations:

  • June 25-26 -- Boston, MA
  • August 13-14 -- Nashville, TN
  • October 1-2 -- Memphis, TN
  • October 15-16 -- Lancaster, PA

These Camps will hopefully be an opportunity for people to come; people who might not have been able to make a regular Camp. The first weekend seminar that we had was last year in Atlanta at Luther Rice University. It was great to see the number of hands raised when the attendees were asked if they were only able to come because of the weekend format.

If you're near one of the areas listed above and want to attend the weekend format, register online at mpseminars.com/register . The number of training hours are the same and not to worry about training all day on Saturday-- there will be plenty of breaks!

If you have any questions, please e-mail info@mpseminars.com.

Hope to see you at Camp soon!

Moe's Initial Thoughts on Logos 4

From Morris Proctor, the Authorized Logos Trainer:

Logos Bible Software 4 is here!! People are already asking what I think about it (since I had a few weeks head start). So here goes in a nutshell:

My first response to the new Home Page was similar to a country song: “What were they thinking? Now I love it! The Home Page shows me things I never knew were in my library. Especially images!

The customizable Bible Study Guides are unbelievable! You can create a personal guide for almost every aspect of Bible study.

The library is off the charts! Rename. Relabel. Reorganize. Retag your books any way you want. The Logos desktop is pure genius. You’re going to love moving the panels and tabs around in any configuration you like. And did I mention that Logos 4 works with multiple monitors?

Space and time don’t permit me to describe searching, collections, toolbars, highlighting, NEW reverse intelinears…..

So please check out the NEW Logos 4 training manuals to jumpstart your mastery of all the Logos 4 features. This program is so BIG, we have 2 manuals to get you started. And please, make every effort to get to a Grand Opening of the NEW Camp Logos on:

  • December 1-2 in my hometown of Murfreesboro, TN
  • December 10-11 in Southern California

We’ll have special Logos guests, FREE stuff, and of course, practical instruction for Logos 4.

Be one of the first Logos users in the world to unleash the power of this new software.

Categories of Christian Books

A Logos user e-mailed me explaining that he loves to study and teach the Bible but that he is not familiar with all of the different categories of Christian books. What is a lexicon? A Bible introduction? A critical commentary?

We have developed the following brief definitions to help explain some of the many categories of Christian books, from Analytical Lexicon to the Topical Bible .

Enjoy,

Morris
